We believe in an agricultural production model with a sustainable territorial approach, where the following converge: Integrated Pest Management (IPM); systematic monitoring for productive decision-making; and integrated territorial development as a social variable. Our interventions encourage the social, economic and environmental development of territories, always respecting the local knowledge, culture and identity of their inhabitants. To this end, we privilege a bottom-up approach, where local culture is brought together with local actors, private enterprise and the public world, to achieve lasting sustainable projects.
We develop various initiatives of community relations, through a constant, horizontal and participatory work in order to contribute to improve the quality of life of our neighbors. To this end, we articulate various instances of territorial governance between local, public and private actors.
Program “Fútbol Más”
We seek to recover the community spirit of Pichiguao by encouraging activities that reduce sedentary lifestyles and obesity and promote a better quality of life.
Family Orchard
We took on the need raised by the community neighboring the Requinoa Distribution Center and built a community center and a demonstration garden, which is managed by the community and where professional training in horticultural techniques is provided.
School orchard, Lampa
We support environmental education and train students from the Liceo Manuel Plaza Reyes de Lampa in horticultural techniques. They visit our Xilema facilities where they learn about the world of biological pest control.
Leveling Studies
We encourage the search for new educational and employment opportunities in the communities where we operate, helping our neighbors to complete their education and prepare for the job search.
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
We develop integrated pest management models through the introduction of the concept of plant welfare, the promotion of bio-rational products and the production and sale of biological controllers.
Plant Welfare
Plant welfare is the basis for sustainable agricultural production. We develop a broad portfolio for crop nutrition and protection, with complementary and friendly solutions for people and the environment.
Biological Control
Since 1994, Xilema has led the production and commercialization of natural enemies in Chile from its facilities in Quillota, central Chile. Its solutions complement ANASAC's crop protection portfolio.
Minimal waste
We innovate in a minimum residue project in fruit trees in order to carry out an efficient protection of the crop and in a responsible way with the demands of the destination markets.
Sampling in the central zone of Chile. We spend a significant amount of R&D&I on various projects that allow us to develop intensive and sustainable agriculture.
Consumers around the world demand products free of chemical and biological residues. We are working on a pilot integrated territorial project that seeks to meet the demand of the most demanding export markets.
Urban area
We carry out urban projects to develop green areas and improve the quality of life of our neighbors, and we support educational programs to stimulate the integration of art and the environment.
Urban spaces
Plaza in San Bernardo, Chile. We recover unused urban spaces through the installation of parks, healing gardens or orchards, always looking for a better quality of life for the neighbors through a vital and daily experience with nature.
Educational program
Colorearte Foundation. We support the knowledge and care of the environment of young people, through permanent support to foundations with educational projects of teachers of different branches of knowledge.
ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY
We work to generate profitable solutions for agriculture and innovate in systematic monitoring models to support farmers’ decision making in complex production systems.
Cost-effective solutions
Potato grower in Cundinamarca, Colombia. Our solutions enable farmers to develop profitable production systems compatible with sustainable agriculture.
Pest monitoring
Sampling of selected trees in central Chile. We developed an innovative system for monitoring pests and natural enemies to adjust the timing and place of release of biological controllers.
Digitization
Farm analysis based on digital capture and processing of information. The development of integral analysis tools favors an optimal decision for farmers.
SOCIAL SUSTENTABILITY
