On Tuesday, November 14, we experienced an exciting day of awards at the exclusive Valle Escondido Club during the IV Version of the Field of the Year Contest. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Esteban Valenzuela, various authorities from Anasac and the agricultural sector, as well as farmers from all over the country.
The recognition was extended to the 10 regional winners and the national standout, Hacienda Los Quillayes from the Maule Region, led by its owner, Fernando Tagle. This award was given for the admirable integration of the fundamental values that characterize this competition.
In the Family Farming category, Alfredo Carrasco of Farmhability received an award for his commitment and contribution to the development of this sector.
In Productivity and Quality, the award went to Gonzalo Tocornal's Agrícola San José, located in the Metropolitan Region, for its outstanding performance in these fundamental aspects.
Innovation was recognized in Agrícola Ganasur of Pablo Fuentes, from the Araucanía Region, highlighting its avant-garde approach in the agricultural field.
Rodrigo Susaeta's Hacienda Manflas, in the Atacama Region, was awarded the prize in the Social Responsibility category, highlighting its contribution to the well-being of the community.
The Sustainability Award went to David Ramos of Agrícola Ramos, located in the Arica and Parinacota Region, in recognition of its sustained growth and exemplary respect for the environment.
The Passion for the Countryside category was awarded twice, recognizing Daniel and Walter Stange of Agrícola La Excelencia in the Los Lagos Region and Osvaldo Barrientos of Agro San Antonio in the O'Higgins Region. Both recipients demonstrated exceptional commitment and passionate dedication to farming.
