A milestone for the ANASAC Socio-Productive Incubator Model

Antu Malén closes a cycle and opens new opportunities

The past December 2, ANASAC closed the process of accompaniment to the Antu Malén Flower Cooperative, of the municipality of Lautaro plant, in the framework of the ANASAC Socio-Productive Incubator Model, executed in the region of Araucania.

Antu Malén's journey with ANASAC began in 2017, The cooperative's members were working individually as farmers, seeking to expand their productive opportunities. Through the accompaniment of the model, they got to know each other, strengthened their technical and organizational capacities, consolidated their collective work and advanced naturally towards the formation of the cooperative they are today. A process that concretely reflects the socio-productive purpose promoted by ANASAC.

During these years, the cooperative has gone from learning the technical basics of cut flower production to positioning itself as a leading producer of cut flowers. professional florists, with the capacity to market their products, make a living from their work and consolidate their position as floral entrepreneurs. Deep, sustained and significant growth.

This exit also has a special value: Antu Malén becomes the first cooperative organization to graduate from the ANASAC Socio-Productive Incubator Model., This confirms the soundness of the methodology and performance indicators implemented since 2023. These instruments made it possible to evaluate the process objectively, verify that the organization was prepared to graduate and demonstrate that the work developed by the team was consistent and effective.

This is an achievement for the members of the cooperative, and also for ANASAC, which sees the consolidation of a methodology with a real and replicable community impact.

“The graduation of the Antu Malén cooperative marks a very significant milestone for ANASAC. It confirms that our Socio-Productive Incubator Model works and generates concrete impact in the communities, paving the way to continue replicating this type of initiatives together with public and private actors. We are very proud of the cooperative's progress and deeply grateful for their commitment during these years. We hold them in great affection and they will always be an important part of our path.”

The closing of the process took place in a camaraderie lunch, The event was emotional and close, together with the six members of the cooperative.Margarita Cheuquelén, Mercedes Antil, Norma Calluan, Maria Calluan, Martina Amaza and Maria Luisa Amaza-in addition to Bernardita Contesse, The event was attended by the head of Sustainability, the technical team and the project team. It was a space to share memories, learnings and deliver a small symbolic present that marked this important closing.

From ANASAC, we recognize the commitment, perseverance and strength of each of the members of the Antu Malén Flower Cooperative.. Their progress is a concrete example of how sustainable projects transform lives and strengthen territories.
