Antumalen cooperative field day

The year 2023 culminated with the realization of the first Field Day of the Antumalen Flower Cooperative in the commune of Lautaro, located in the region of La Araucanía. This cooperative, currently part of one of the main projects of the socio-productive incubator of Anasac's Sustainability area, was invited to embrace this exciting challenge.

The event took place over two different days in the commune of Lautaro, with the purpose of sharing with the local community and farmers of the sector the aspects of cut flower cultivation at the regional level. The activity included three main stations: a demonstration greenhouse and two greenhouses in production, together with a joint stand of Anasac and Xilema. In the latter, the various management methods applied in the greenhouses were presented, including the use of biorational products and biological controllers.

The activity was a success, with a high participation of the community (more than 100 people per day), from different corners of the region, as well as associative groups from nearby regions, all eager to learn about the different species cultivated in the area. From Anasac, we highlight the effort of all the members of the cooperative, who received the visitors with grace and dedication, with the participation of local and regional authorities, such as representatives of the municipality of Lautaro, Indap and Corfo.

The event was supported by Anasac and other companies related to the floriculture industry, which joined with enthusiasm to promote and strengthen this important sector in La Araucanía. The growth and strengthening of the Antumalen cooperative, recognized among its peers in the area, was also highlighted.

For Anasac's sustainability team in La Araucanía, this activity marks a significant milestone, demonstrating the capabilities and commitment applied in various areas of work with the cooperative. We congratulate the Antumalen Cooperative for accepting and overcoming this challenge with determination, and we hope they continue to harvest not only flowers, but also successes and achievements every day.
