At Anasac, we take our responsibility in addressing climate change seriously. We know that our operations have an impact, and that's why we are determined to transform our environmental management at all levels: from our production facilities to the product portfolio we offer to the agricultural sector. Our goal is reduce our ecological footprint, adapt to the new climate context and generate positive impacts on the ecosystems where we operate.
We have developed a Specific Environmental Management Program for each of our facilities, adapted to its operational and territorial characteristics. This program establishes clear goals in:
Reduction of non-renewable energy consumption.
Reducing the water footprint and using water efficiently.
Solid waste management and recycling.
Control and mitigation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The pilot project began at the Lampa production plant, and is being expanded to our Lautaro plant, the Requínoa distribution center and ANASAC's corporate offices.
A multidisciplinary team, comprised of representatives from Operations, Risk Prevention, Human Resources, and Sustainability, leads this process, holding quarterly meetings to monitor progress and make decisions for continuous improvement.
