BABEL® 40 SC is a selective herbicide recommended for post-emergence control of broadleaf grass and cyperaceous weeds in rice crops. BABEL 40 SC acts by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl lactate synthesis, which is essential for amino acid production, causing growth arrest, chlorosis, and weed death. Initially, treated plants become chlorotic at the growing points. Weeds die 1–2 weeks after herbicide application.
