MITERRA 24.7 SC is a foliar-use neurotoxic insecticide that controls sucking and chewing insects. Its composition combines the action of thiamethoxam and lambda-cyhalothrin. The former has systemic action that controls sucking insects, and the latter has contact and ingestion action that controls chewing insects. Thiamethoxam translocation in plants occurs primarily through the vascular system, which includes both xylem and phloem. Lambda-cyhalothrin translocation is limited compared to some other types of pesticides. Unlike systemic or neonicotinoid fungicides, which move through the plant's vascular system, lambda-cyhalothrin tends to act more locally.
