DAKOTA® 48 EC is an isoxazolidinone herbicide for the pre- and early post-emergence control of grass and some broadleaf weeds in crops, especially rice, sugarcane, soybeans, cotton, and tobacco. It is absorbed by weed roots, where it inhibits the formation of chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments by acting on several enzymes in the mevalonic acid pathway that leads to this biosynthesis. Its mode of action helps prevent the development of weed resistance to other herbicides.
