ANTIPODA® 20 EC is an insecticide combining two active ingredients: Pyriproxyfen and Acetamiprid. Pyriproxyfen, from the juvenile hormone inhibitor group, is a contact and translaminar insecticide that acts as a growth regulator. It is an analog of the insect juvenile hormone, inhibiting metamorphosis, with ovicidal effects and the ability to affect the reproduction of treated females. Acetamiprid is a neonicotinoid with systemic and ingestion action. It targets a receptor protein on the post-synaptic membrane, causing continuous nerve excitation that leads to the insect’s death.
